Good-bye Jaja

Yesterday consisted mainly of a huge funeral service for our jaja. There were so many people there, all celebrating the long life of jaja. The young girls danced and sang praises to Jesus. It was a beautiful ceremony. Bogere stayed by my side the entire time. I held his hand with one hand, and held baby Joshua in the other. I sat and watched as hundreds of people said wonderful things about our dear jaja. Pastor Ruth talked about how Jaja is the one who believed in her to start Smile Africa, jaja was the one who never gave up no matter the circumstance. The legacy that Jaja has left behind is so beautiful. She genuinely loved people and gave herself for others, and now Pastor Ruth is doing the same and passing that quality on to her children as well. Jaja will be missed, but things that she has left behind, love and laughter, will live on forever.
